In the ocean scenes room at the museum. Our homeschool charter had a field trip today. For the first time, my kids were in different groups. I let them know in advance that there was only one of me, so one we got there, Little Brown Mouse seemed happily situated with friends in his group and a friend's mom kept her eye on him and I went with Lala Bug. I have been thinking a lot about our little homeschool family and what shifts have happened naturally as we have grown and changed and what changes we still need to make. One of them is me...needing to let go and open my mind to all the possibilities of learning all around us. Instead of feeling worried about what we weren't doing, I had an inner moment of celebration when both kids were eager and adamant about going back into the museum after the field trip portion ended. We spent an additional 3 hours looking, learning, and exploring.
That looks like a great place to chill!
